As a master roaster, don Ronald oversees each batch of coffee beans with meticulous care. He uses all of his senses during the roasting process, including the smell of the beans, the popping of the beans, and the different sounds they make as they roll in the roaster, to determine the perfect roasting level for each 11-lb. batch. Throughout the roasting process, he takes out a small number of beans several times and adjusts the temperature accordingly to fine-tune the roast level. This allows him to create roasting profiles that bring out the best flavors in each bean and provide customers with an exceptional coffee experience.
