The Nicoya region in the province of Guanacaste is well known for it’s perfect climate, sunny days, beautiful beaches, and friendly people. Nicoya has been classified as a blue zone due to the long, fulfilling lives its inhabitants enjoy. Of the five blue zones that have been identified, Nicoya is the only one where coffee is produced.
Knowing how enjoying good coffee is engrained in Costa Rican culture, we could not help but make a connection between the lifestyle of Nicoyans, and the coffee grown by them in this region’s fertile soils and temperate climates. We decided to source this delicious and skillfully produced roast with the goal of sharing with you a glimpse of the flavor and round body Nicoyans experience in their coffee!
